Real Techniques Stepping Up The Brush Game

When I first saw these babies I was like "HOLY WOWZA!!!" Being the avid brush collector I am I will happily add these beauties to my collection. Honestly they are without a doubt almost too beautiful to get dirty with makeup products, but at the same time I am anxious to try them out. I'm hoping to do a review on these brushes as soon as possible MAYBE. There are some I know I need to have, and some others I may pass on. But I'm tremendously excited. Real Techniques is a good brand. I can't wait to see how these brushes live up to their expectations in person.

These brushes are supposedly an ULTA exclusive here in the U.S.

Welcome To My Blog

Sup foxers? I realized I haven't really gave a proper introduction of my blog so I thought a welcome post would be the proper thing to do.

This blog is in correspondence to my youtube channel of course, which means you will find lots of beauty-related topics here and have an overall good time reading through my posts and seeing what I have to say. A blog is a great way to keep a journal on the things you love, and that is the intention of the Inner Vixen Beauty Blog.

I will update you guys on sales, hot items. I will showcase product reviews and hauls, lookbooks, and share makeup trends and links to my newest videos. Overall this is one more awesome way you can keep up with me and what I'm doing. So make sure that you subscribe by email (you'll find the option to do so over to your right) and also subscribe to me on youtube if you haven't already and follow me on all my social networks (links are at the bottom of page).

Now that I have my blog designed the way I want I am excited to have one more way to share my passions with you guys.

Stay foxy! xoxo

HD Videos Coming In January!

So for the past year getting good quality with my videos has been a battle between natural lighting and some cheapo umbrella lights from amazon. The natural lighting is usually the best form of lighting you can get for photos and video, but due to how my studio is situated with the one window, and depending upon the time of day, it's either too bright (squinting while doing your eye makeup bright) or if I sit in a different position from the window there is an annoying shadow cast on one side of my face. The umbrella lights I have tried to avoid, but on those days when you're due to make a video, it's raining, and you have no choice you do what you can. Unfortunately they wash me out terribly. I never thought it was possible for me to look pale, but the umbrella lights certainly have a way of doing it.

For my New Years Resolution I have decided to get serious with my youtube channel. I won't sit and lie saying "It's just a hobby" because truth be told it is so much more to me than that. It is my dream, my passion. I also appreciate my subscribers, people who actually take time out of their day to sit and watch my videos and leave me heartwarming comments that inspire me in so many ways. How can I NOT want to bring my followers the best quality videos possible? The enjoyment people get from my videos is extremely important to me. And if I'm going to get further with my channel it's time to take things to the next level and I'm determined to be successful. I refuse to give up!

So in January I will be ordering my professional ringlight, sony vegas 13, and this spring I will be upgrading to the canon 70D... until then I will make HD videos with my current canon camera. The lighting will be a lifesaver. Finally my makeup will show up true on video, I won't have to rely on mother nature to provide me with decent lighting, and I can finally sit at my vanity and film where I'll be more comfortable rather than parking in front of the window and struggling to work on a tiny square drawer unit with all my makeup scattered at my feet because there's literally nowhere else to put it!

I'm so happy! I have so many plans for my channel. Aside from more HD videos I will be bringing a LOT of content to my viewers. So much in depth beauty, product reviews, health vlogs, more fashion and hair, loads of more makeup looks of course, and many wonderful collab partners to introduce my subscribers to.

I am so grateful for the amazing people I have met through youtube. This has been a wonderful year for me even with the small amount of followers I have gained. I feel that this year has been the building block for everything I've learned and grown from. My techniques have improved, I've come out of my shell and learned to love the camera and talking to my viewers. I have had the most fun doing this, and I'm so proud of myself for sticking it out and deciding to make something wonderful happen with this. I have a new found determination. And if it weren't for you guys supporting me and being my rock in the youtube growth I would not get nearly as much joy from doing this as I do knowing that I might have "colored" someone's day a little brighter.

I love you all! Happy New Year!!!

A special thank you goes to my top supporters: My wonderful parents who encourage me and have helped me so much, my amazing younger brother who has invested in my channel by buying my camera, my microphone, and finding me a good editing software... and my sweet boyfriend who has helped me buy so many products to try through my videos.
